I’ve always found these travel personality frameworks interesting because they usually assume we have one stable way of experiencing the world. In reality, I think many of us move between different versions of ourselves depending on where we are in life.
At twenty I wanted movement, novelty, and as many stamps in my passport as possible. Later I became much more interested in conversations, routines, landscapes, and understanding how people actually live. The destination often stayed the same, but the reason for being there changed completely.
Maybe the most useful travel personality isn’t a fixed type at all. It’s simply being honest about what you’re looking for right now instead of planning trips around who you used to be, or who social media tells you that you should be.
